System Overview
System Description

Aspida Green, configured as the Ground Asset Protection System (GAPS), is a physics-based active defense suite that closes the protection and mobility gap facing modern ground forces. Four complementary sensor types (MWIR, LWIR, CRFS, acoustic) deliver continuous 360° situational awareness — detecting ATGM launches, loitering munitions, and reconnaissance drones out to 6 km, with kinetic engagement to 800 m. AI-driven sensor fusion performs rapid threat scoring with friend-or-foe discrimination, slewing the weapon ring and engaging hostile contacts faster than the threat can close. Built on a modular open-architecture suite of stackable rings (plenum, gun, ammo, processor, sensor) on 24 V platforms, Aspida Green is mission configurable in minutes — for defense or assault, breaching or containment — and can operate atop autonomous UGVs to keep warfighters out of the kill zone.

Operational Applications
High-value ground asset protection (MBTs, IFVs, MRAPs, LAVs, ACVs)
Autonomous UGV-mounted offensive operations and frontline overwatch
Breaching and containment in dense urban and contested environments
Laser target designation, route clearance, and minefield marking
Convoy defense against multi-vector attacks (RPG salvos, ATGM, drone swarms)
Persistent perimeter overwatch against fiber-optic drone ambushes
Key Capabilities
  • Defeats drone swarms, fiber-optic drones, ATGMs, RPGs, dropped ordnance, loitering munitions, Hellfire analogs, and mortars
  • Fully immune to electronic warfare — physics-based detection (MWIR, LWIR, CRFS, acoustic), no reliance on vulnerable signals
  • AI sensor fusion with friend-or-foe discrimination and hard safety limits to prevent fratricide
  • 360° awareness — long-range detection to 6 km, kinetic engagement to 800 m
  • Twin XM-214 microguns chambered in 5.56 mm NATO, 2,000–10,000 RPM, ~$120 per heavy engagement
  • Modular stackable-ring architecture — mission reconfigurable in minutes
  • Mission configurable for defense or assault, breaching or containment
